About Cougar Campers

Cougar Campers was started by Carolyn Cafini, the partner of Brian Johnston who owns Alpine Campers, Altitude Campers and Johnnos Campers.

Carolyn has worked in the industry for over five years alongside Brian, currently working as marketing manager at Altitude Campers. As she became more involved in the industry, she was inspired to create her own hybrid camper and that idea evolved into Cougar Campers.

From her experience in the industry, Carolyn saw what customers really wanted in a camper and wanted to create something that catered to this. She was keen to develop a new camper with an emphasis on ease of use, comfort and plentiful storage capacity.

After lots of careful planning and hard work, the first Cougar Campers launched here in Australia in January.

Favourite Caravan & Camping Destinations

Being based in South-East Queensland, Carolyn and Brian love to get outdoors in their spare time and explore local caravan and camping hot spots.

Kenilworth on the Sunshine Coast is one of their favourite spots to visit nearby. It’s a small town in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. You’ll find beautiful fresh water creeks in the area, as well as the Kenilworth State Forest which is a popular destination for campers.

Further away from home, Carolyn and Brian also like to travel down to Northern New South Wales. One of their favourite spots across the border in NSW is Yamba, a small beachside town south of Byron Bay.

The couple are also planning to spend a few months travelling through Tasmania in the near future.
