If you’re accessing the Flinders Ranges from Quorn, you’ll see evidence that this township was once the region’s railway hub. This heritage is preserved in the Pichi Richi Railway, where the steam train brings delight to children of all ages and those young at heart.

The Nuccaleena Mine Ruins are an iconic Aussie outback setting. There are plenty of bush camping opportunities, or you can loop past the site on the 4WD track. The copper mine was in operation for less than a decade from the 1850s, eventually meeting its demise from falling copper prices. The remaining ruins are a must-visit for any Australian nature & history buff.
